A primary school located in the heart of Chelmsford requires a highly motivated Senior Administrator. This 1.5 form entry primary school is rated Good and teaches children aged 4-11.
The school is centrally located in Chelmsford, walking distance of the City’s transport links and facilities. Randstad has worked with this charming school previously and we can only speak highly of the Headteacher, team and other members of the school.
The role is based in the main school office working with a team of office staff. There will also be involvement of talking to parents and visitors in the front line reception area.
The role will commence on a temporary basis, but there will be consideration for the right candidate to apply for the permanent post.

Responsibilities:
– Take a lead role in planning, developing and monitoring operational systems, procedures and policies
To work closely with school leaders to manage change and ensure a consistency of approach across the school
Monitor, manage and cover staff absence
Support with school census returns
Role model expectations and provide training and development to staff
Manage the health, safety and welfare of staff and other people on school premises
Be responsible for first aid cover, training and maintaining records
Take responsibility for the school’s social media presence, liaising with website managers, to ensure and maintain the excellent appearance and accurate/up-to-date content of the school website
Maintaining efficient and effective systems for filing and organising correspondence, ensuring discretion and respecting confidentiality
Responsibility for exclusion documentation paperwork and paperwork for governing body meetings
Produce letters, documents and reports as necessary
Actively promote the safety and welfare of our children and young people

working in a school setting
DBS clearance on the DBS update service (Randstad can support you in processing this)
Strong communicator
Proven experience of managing others
