$58,000 base + salary packaging + super (pro-rata for part time)

About Molecular Imaging & Therapy
We are a unique department within Austin Health who provide imaging and clinical services to patients, including PET scans, Nuclear Medicine imaging, Radionuclide Therapy and Bone Densitometry. Our department has an ecclectic mix of staff, including technologists, scientists, biomedical engineers and clinicians. We are the largest academic Nuclear Medicine department in Australia and have world-class Neuroscience and Oncology research programs, along with linkages to institutions including University of Melbourne, Latrobe University, ONJCRI and The Florey Institute.
About the role
We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented and organised billing and administration officer to perform patient billing and assist our Business Manager with financial administration duties.
A regular day will see you:
Processing patient billing and submitting to Medicare for payment
Running reports to cross-check patient billing for errors and liaising with reception staff to address errors
Raising invoices and faciltating payment of invoices
Maintaining and updating various spreadsheets and databases
Raising requisitions to purchase goods/services
Liaising with Finance, Procurement and key contacts across the department to gather information or approvals

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

Accurate data entry skills
The ability to multi-task and work across multiple IT programs at once (including Excel & Teams)
The ability to communicate well with staff at all levels, including senior management and senior medical staff
